My March Mall Trip (Under $80)

 
A while ago, I posted on my Tumblr blog about how I'm almost 20, and I know next to nothing about makeup. 

The kindness and genuine advice everyone gave me in response inspired me to start, so today I went to the mall.

As I walked through the mall, I did wind up getting a little sidetracked and stopped at JCPenney - originally intending to head straight to the beauty department for my first lipstick, but I found the cutest sweater!

I mean, come ON! How adorable is this? I like my sweaters a little oversized, so this was perfect for me. I couldn't believe it when I found this for such a fair price.

After leaving JCPenney, I went to Akira and looked around for a while. I was mostly there just to browse and get some steps in while I was already at it, but when I was looking through the jewelry, I just couldn't help myself! (^‿^'')

The prices of the clothes were almost preposterous, if not for their pure and undeniable quality. 

Either way, I came to the mall for lipstick - not a $120 jacket! 

 
I found the most darling beauty supply store in the mall, where I was able to get a crap-ton of items for under $35, including some gifts for my grandmother that aren't pictured here.

While there are some lip glosses and balms here, you may be saying, "Mae WTF, where's the lipstick you drove like twenty minutes to get??" 

Well, actually... I kind of forgot it at the store.

I'm pretty sure this can actually be used for blush and eye makeup, too. It was on sale for $12, so I had to grab one! The lady working in the makeup section of the JCPenney was so sweet and pretty, I wish I had gotten her name to leave a good review for her!

I hope to be able to make a second trip to this mall soon! I just love shopping there, and there were still so many stores I just didn't have the time to check out.

Let this post be living proof that you don't need to be rich to go shopping for cute stuff. Sure, you won't walk away with a massive haul - but I think this is more gratifying.
